The Track Family Fun Parks are racing into an amazing 2017 season with the addition of new attractions and enhancements across its five family fun centers throughout the Southeast United States.
The Track Family Fun Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is getting a fresh new look and feel this spring. The refresh started in the heart of the park — the main building arcade and birthday areas — and includes fresh paint, sharp new signage and new arcade games such as The Walking Dead and Connect Four. The park also recently completed re-construction of the final drop on the bottom loop of the Wild Woody, The Track’s signature multi-level elevated go-kart track. Now the thrilling drop at the end of each circuit is smoother and more exciting than ever.
Guests will also want to check out the brand-new thrill ride — the FlightLine. This new attraction, slated to open late summer 2017, offers the thrill of the Bungee Jump but with incredible new technology allowing for an extended free-fall experience and smooth stop due to the ride’s magnetic braking technology.
Down the road a few miles, The Track Family Fun Park — Smokies, originally designed as Bear Country Adventure Park, is making its debut as a part of The Track family. As the park enters into its first official year as The Track, this new park is adding a Family Track and Rookie Karts to expand its family-friendly lineup of attractions which already included the Wild Woody elevated track, Blaster Boats, large arcade and Cub Country kids rides. The beautiful, clean property is located just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and is a great stop for families visiting the Smoky Mountains.
The Track’s popular Destin, Florida park is thrilled to announce the addition of the Hurricane 360 to its attractions lineup. Seating 12 riders, the Hurricane 360 shoots riders up and around 360 degrees while spinning around. Thrill-seekers between 4’2” and 6’4” can take on the Hurricane 360 for a spinning, swinging, flipping good time at the beach. (Height requirements subject to change upon opening.) The new ride is set to open for summer 2017.
In addition, the Destin Track is enhancing its guest experience by building a larger, brand-new ticket building and restrooms near the park’s signature Wild Woody elevated track and thrill rides. The new facilities will be open for the 2017 summer season.
Located along the Alabama Gulf Coast, The Track Family Fun Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is pleased to announce the addition of the Spinning Coaster to its attractions lineup. With rolling curves and cars that spin while zipping along the coaster’s track, the Spinning Coaster is a great pick for a first-time roller coaster experience or to spice up a park experience. The new ride is set to open for summer 2017.
Rounding out the openings for 2017 is The Track’s brand new family fun park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The modern family-friendly park opened in fall 2016 and showcases two multi-level elevated tracks, along with rookie and kiddie karts. All of the go-karts at the Myrtle Beach park are electric, offering guests all of the fun without any fumes. This spring marks The Track’s first official season on the Myrtle Beach coast. Visitors to the Grand Strand area will enjoy checking out Myrtle Beach’s newest go-kart attraction and vibrant, indoor arcade. Three children’s rides — The Red Baron Planes, The Carousel and the Baja Buggies Jump Around — will also be making their debuts at the park this May.
Lastly, each of The Track’s family fun parks features a dynamic indoor arcade. In 2017, The Track is introducing Fat Daddy’s Arcade as its onsite indoor arcade. Visitors to the Gulf Coast have come to love the Fat Daddy’s Arcades located in Orange Beach, Alabama; Destin, Florida; and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Now guests will enjoy the same amazing arcade experience The Track is known for but with a little more Fat Daddy’s fun in the mix.
